At the same time, trends such as the consolidation of hospitals and the rise of urgent care are revolutionizing the delivery of health care. Many students are unsure of what to expect when they become health professionals.
This year’s panel will feature prominent speakers from the academic, private, and public sectors.They will speak about critical issues in the space, including policy options for an ACA replacement, revolutionary use of big data and technology, and implications for future healthcare professionals. Dean Glied was Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the Department of Health and Human Services under the Obama administration and previously served as Senior Economist for health care and labor market policy on the President’s Council of Economic Advisers.
